The American University of Beirut’s Olayan School of Business has always sought to rank among the top leading Business Schools worldwide. After benchmarking itself as the top Business School in the Middle East, OSB has not stopped prospering, and even became the first university in Lebanon to earn the AACSB Accreditation; categorizing the faculty among the world’s best 5% of business schools alongside Harvard Business School and MIT Sloan School of Management.

The faculty’s Business Student Society (BSS), among the biggest student societies in the university with more than 270 members, decided to take on a worldwide challenge: under AUB’s CSR initiative, BSS is expressing its stand with Education for All.

On the 21st of November 2017 at 6 pm, BSS will be hosting “Share The Flag”, a record breaking event on campus territory.

Over 100,000 red, white, and green notebooks will be scattered all over the field to form the Lebanese national flag. This mosaic of notebooks would potentially qualify for the world’s biggest national flag made from notebooks.

The event is going to be animated by musicians, dancers and other types of entertainers.

Food and beverage stands will be ready to satisfy appetites all through the evening. On this record breaking day, all AUB and IC students are invited to join, along with special guests such as politicians, statesmen, company and NGO representatives, influencers, and bloggers.

More information will be progressively released on their social media accounts. Once the event is over, all the notebooks will be donated to Lebanese and non-Lebanese students who attend public schools in the Bekaa area. AUB’s Business Student Society members, as well as the Business School’s faculty, are passionate about this initiative, and are very driven and motivated to succeed with the event.
